Club News

There are some great things going on at Rossvale. We have a women’s team going from strength to strength and are taking on Rangers Women’s team early next month in the Scottish Cup. Several of our boys teams are at the top of their divisions, often entering the latter stages of Regional and Scottish Cup competitions.

This season, we started our men’s seniors and development teams, playing in the WOSFL and Lowland Development Leagues, respectively. And we’re attracting players from all over Glasgow and beyond with now over 600 at the club, from five-year-olds in our academy through to the over 50s walking football.

With the growing reputation of the club, we believe there is a fantastic opportunity to build on these foundations. That is why we have made two appointments to help take us to the next level. They’ve been around the club for a while, but we wanted to set out their main roles and responsibilities.

Jointly appointed over the past few months has been David Caldwell and Billy Stevenson, Dave has an excellent football pedigree having played for clubs including Mansfield, Chesterfield, and Torquay United before moving into football consultancy, scouting and coaching roles. As our new Head of Football, Dave will look at how we can improve player and coach development with a view to ensuring a quality pipeline into the ladies’ and men’s senior and development teams.

Billy is an Operations and Logistics Expert with experience including his work with the 2018 European Athletics Championships as well as an advisor for Airdrie FC and Dundee FC. Billy will be our Head of Operations looking at how we better leverage sponsorship as well as improving our processes and use of technology.

Dave and Billy will be touch with several of you to hear your views. If you have time, we would appreciate your input. We would very much like to shape the future of the club together.

The club will soon announce other positions in support of implement structure across the club.
